Apple HDMI to lightning adapter not working with Apple TV

Apple please fix this issue! You sold me an adapter that was for the purpose of streaming movies to my TV with this product. I’m about done with Apple after almost 20 years of apple products I’m ready to switch to something else! Fix it and quit worrying about the fact that a $60 product may affect sales of Apple TV! Super shady!

AV adapter and Apple TV app Has anyone gotten the HDMI adapter to work with the Apple TV app? I see questions from last year that it doesn’t work and I just spent most of the day with Support and couldn’t resolve my issues. I bought the adapter specifically for Apple TV because my smart tv doesn’t have an app and doesn’t support airplay. I even called Support before I bought it and they said it would work. Frustrating that no one at Apple Support will admit that the adapter works with every other streaming service but their own.
