I can’t figure out why it happened or how to fix it, but my iPhone 13 switched itself to dark mode and I can’t get it to turn off. I’ve restarted my phone several times and it will start up regularly, but when I start navigating around and opening apps, it switches itself to dark mode. Can anyone help? Thank you!

Hi, I solved this another way. Accessibility > Touch > Back Tap > Double Tap > Classic Invert. Then I ‘double back-tapped’ the phone twice, and it was back to normal.
I think this problem happened to me because I switched phones. The old one had a home button set up for accessibility-dark mode. The settings transfer to the new phone maybe had something to do with it.

I’m having the same issue. Have an IPhone 11 running 16.3.1. About a week ago, started to switch to dark mode randomly. I was worried my phone was going bad but since others are having the same issue, appears to be system related. Hope the next update fixes this.
this has been happening since I updated the phone last month. 16.1.3. I was hopeful when someone posted smart invert to fix it, but when I went there, it and all the other buttons were turned off already. I have tried everything else possible, this is a problem with apples update, and they need to fix it.
Not sure if this will be helpful for anyone having this issue but we had a 14 Pro here that seemed to be stuck in Dark mode despite hard reboot and fiddling with the Dark/Light settings in Settings Display/Brightness. For this particular phone we were able to resolve the issue by turning off Smart Invert under settings - Accessibility - Display & Text Size. Hope this can help someone else too.
