iPhone 14 Pro Max unresponsive screen issue

I am using Apple since 2019 with the XR model. Never had such unresponsive issue. Recently I bought 14 pro max. Since the very first screen doesn’t response at all every now and then , as if it’s frozen. Why is that happening? This is so irritating….

Thank you for reaching out in Apple Support Communities. With your iPhone 14 Pro Max unresponsive, have you tried performing a force restart? This is a step that can help you to regain access to a fully functional iPhone. If needed, here's how to perform a force restart:


Force restart iPhone
If iPhone isn’t responding, and you can’t turn it off then on, try forcing it to restart.

1. Press and quickly release the volume up button.
2. Press and quickly release the volume down button.
3. Press and hold the side button.
4. When the Apple logo appears, release the side button.

yes, same here. I did find out the phone case might have had to do with the freeze-ups. Don't ask me why, but I bought a different case and it stopped. Has only done it once when it was in my purse. The first case I had was very expensive, and the manufacturer - thankfully - refunded my money and let me keep the case. I couldn't have returned it anyway because my husband cut out a piece of leather off its side to see if it was pressing down on the buttons too tightly, causing the constant freezing. That didn't fix it either. I agree with you who say give us a fix please Apple, don't just tell us to restart or press the side button 20 times a day, I did that more often than I made or received calls. I have had iPhones since my first iPhone 3, and this is the worst I've had.

My iPhone 14 Pro Max refuses to acknowledge certain buttons on webpages. Such as, “get started” “submit” “finish” “pay now” etc. I will click a button right next to that button, and it will work just fine.

I know this post is old, but I just wanted to chime in quickly and say, Apple does not look at these forums, there is a new Support app installed on your iPhone a couple updates ago.

You can leave your feedback there and PLEASE DO so these issues get fixed.

I am having similar issue with the new iphone 14 pro max.

Apple support performed did so many diagnosis but no clue. This is happening once in a

while but almost everyday. Especially during the phone calls, as the screen is unresponsive,

I can’t end the call. However, the phone works back to normal in 2 to 3 mins.

This is really annoying, apple senior tech support could not solve the issue. They mentioned iphone 14 pro max hardware and software is good.

I am assuming, this is a software issue, apple should consider this issue seriously and fix ASAP. I am regretting that I replaced my 12 PRO Max with no reason.

Same here!! I have had various iPhone models and this has to be the worst. Touch is often unresponsive and sometimes it just shuts down and won’t turn back on. I have had to force restart this phone more times than I have ever had to at all. May be it’s the dynamic island which to this point I don’t see it’s function as it only works with few apps like media, phone calls, and clock. I miss my last iPhone :(

iam also haveing this problem, Apple refuses to fix the issue or replacement , told me to do 100s of suggestions and tests but nothing , very frustrated and disappointed from this I have never seen a after sale service as bad as Apple , waste hours of your time at stores for service that you paid 1000s for there product, and they say to go home without a fix

My apple iPhone 14 pro max touch screen feature is not working after few days of recent update. I visited apple service centre but they are saying it's hardware issue. I never dropped my phone or damaged it by any means. Then why I have to pay for this hardware issue occured all of a sudden? My phone was working very well. I was watching a video on YouTube and all of a sudden the touch screen feature stopped working.
