Apple TV Remote changes input on Sony TV

I just purchased a new Sony Bravia tv and after changing the HDMI settings on the tv to allow enhanced (4k) content, the Siri Remote now changes the Sony input when hitting the Menu or Home buttons. This is extremely frustrating as you can imagine. If anyone has any ideas, please advise.

Apple TV remote 4K won't turn on Sony TV? Got the new Apple TV 4K on 11/3 and synced it with our Sony Bravia and everything worked fine. Now every morning (4) when I use the Siri remote it only turns on the Apple TV and not the Sony TV. I've had to use the Sony remote for that. Once I do that that I can turn both devices on and off throughout the day using the Siri remote as long as it's within a few hours. After an extended period/overnight I have to use the TV remote to turn on the TV, help please?

Apple TV 4K Siri remote acting erratically at times, especially scrolling through the live guide on YouTube TV Sometimes the remote's D-pad up/down/right/left buttons either don't do anything or it starts scrolling through the guide then continues to scroll rapidly out of control and doesn't stop, even after removing my finger from the D-pad. I have tried unplugging the Apple TV 4K and resetting the remote. That may fix it for a short period of time but then it starts acting up again. Has anyone had this problem, and did you find a permanent fix for it? I would like to ask Apple support for help with this problem, but I don't find any place on their support website that lets me do that. Your input would be greatly appreciated.
