How to keep my Airpods Pro 2 Battery Life Optimal?

I got the Airpods Pro (2nd generation) two months ago as a gift. But I am barely using them right now only once every few weeks because I suffer from migraines and am getting treatment for it. I am hoping the migraines resolve soon with the new treatment. I do want to sell them and wanted to keep my Airpods Pro 2 and hopefully plan on using them in 6 months or even 1 year later.

Any suggestions on how I can keep my battery for Airpods Pro 2 optimal until I can actually use them 6 months to 1 year later? I do not want to have my battery get weaker overall. Thanks in advance for the help!

Hi dharm231,

We appreciate you reaching out to us.

We’d like to start by setting your expectations.

All rechargeable batteries are consumable components that become less effective as they chemically age.

That being said, it is expected that your device's battery will degrade as it age even if you are not using it.

While it is not possible to prevent the battery’s chemical aging, we have some recommendations that you can do to prolong your battery’s lifespan.

You can use the article below as a guide.

We hope you get better soon so you can start enjoying your AirPods Pro again.

Take care!
