My Watch stopped connecting to my iPhone.

My Watch stopped connecting to my iPhone. I tried unpairing, but phone said it couldn’t find watch. Then I tried to reset. Now i get the select language screen, then location. When I get to the pairing screen, watch shows the spinning planet thing, but phone tried and then says can’t locate watch. What’s up?

Hello Daddymat,

We would like to see how we can help you with your Apple Watch not pairing as expected. Follow the steps in this link and get back to us with your results: If you can't pair an Apple Watch with your iPhone - Apple Support

If the pairing process stalls

If it seems like the pairing process has stalled — for example, the pairing animation remains on the screen for several minutes — resetting your Apple Watch might help:

  1. Press and hold the Digital Crown while your Apple Watch is in pairing mode.
  2. Tap Reset when it appears on your watch.
  3. After your watch resets, you can pair again.

Cheers!

Thank you for the response Judy. The only phone it has been paired with is the one I’m trying to pair it with. One day last week, I noticed I wasn’t getting notifications. When I looked at my watch, there was a red rectangle with a line through it on the watch. I tried unpairing and repairing with no luck, so I reset my watch. Still no luck. Then I followed the above instructions and still the same thing. It’s like it just lost its Bluetooth capability…
