iOS 16.1.2 battery drain

This update drastically increases battery consumption, disabling crash detection returns it to normal. I have an iphone 14 pro.

To disable crash detection, go to Settings > Emergency SOS, uncheck “Call After Severe Crash”.

The iOS 16.1.2 update began draining my battery. I have an iPhone 13 Pro. My phone is only 6 months old. After the last couple of updates, my battery health shows 98% capacity so I think it may have damaged my battery. Since 16.1.2 update my phone isn’t staying charged and takes forever to charge it up also. I charged it up and it took all night and was still only 97% charged. I turned off the Optimize so it could charge to 100% but then it quickly drained again. I haven’t even been able to use my phone as I normally do since this update as the battery drains so quickly.

since the past 2-3 updates my battery life went from 100 to 94. After the ios 16.1.2 my battery went down to a 93 and a few minutes ago i went down again🤦🏽‍♂️ this got me so heated because this phone is not even a year old. I bet they’ll say that it is not their fault and is because of natural usage or whatever tf they say. I got the iphone 13

I have the iPhone 13 Pro Max and it won’t be a year old until March. My capacity has gone from 99% to 97% since the update too. No way all this is normal usage. Also I have used my phone very little this morning and it was 100% at 6:30 when I took it off the charger. I’m off until after the new year but when I’m working I’m on my phone a lot and though I work from home most of the time it’s not convenient to have to have it plugged in. And if I have to go see clients… this battery performance will not work for me at all. I just hope something changes before then….

Same is happening to me. I've bought an iPhone 14 Pro a few weeks ago and battery drain is something that really worried me. I called support and they adviced me to deactivate a bunch of things, which did not work. Honestly, I have a phone to be able to make what it's supposed to do. Coming from my iPhone 13 battery was awesome so I hope they can fix this with the next update.
