iPad and iPhone Mail not synching

Since the last update of iOS, Mail is not synching on my iPhone & iPad. I delete mail messages or move them to a folder on my iPad but they are still in the inbox on my iPhone.

I have not changed any of my settings so don’t understand why this is happening.

iPhone 12, iOS 16

Hey there hkbs,

Let's team up to get Mail in sync with both devices. To start, we'd like to rule out some general details, along with gathering more details to better understand what's happening:

  1. You mentioned that when organizing email messages in your iPad, it doesn't reflect those changes on your iPhone. What occurs when you make changes in Mail on your iPhone first?
  2. When did this first start?
  3. Is this only occurring with one of the email accounts set up in your devices, or are some working without any issues?
  4. Sometimes unexpected behavior can be resolved with a restart: Restart your iPhone and Restart your iPad
  5. We see you have a compatible iPhone model, so the latest for it would be iOS 16.1.2. If you're using a compatible iPad model, the latest version is iPadOS 16.1.1. In each device, you can verify this within Settings > General > About. In case you needed it, this link shows how to first back up, then Update your iPhone or iPad.

Cheers!
