This is a staggeringly irritating feature that achieves nothing that I need but drives me up the wall. Please don't tell me this is yet another stupid Apple feature like the sideways sliding screens on iPad, which cannot be turned off. Fair enough introducing features that some might like but please make them de-selectable for those folk who don't want or need the feature.
