iPod Classic

I have an iPod that only displays the apple logio.

At one point I saw a message to use iTunes to finish setting it up.

I connect to iTunes, but told I need a driver for the iPod classic.

How can I get my iPod back and useable?

How to get my ipod classic working I have 160gb iPod Classic. When I turn it on I get the normal apple logo followed by a screen with a red X and the old apple ipod support URL. When plug it into my laptop (I have a PC running Windows 10) it seems to not be recognized at all as a connected device, including in iTunes (running version 12.12.9). I've tried holding the menu button and middle buttons to reset it and it goes to the same screen. I'd love to get my iPod and running, any advice?

The iPad is an ealy model, hasn't been used (I didn't take it when travelling)

when charging, the Apple logo displays at regular intervals... and turning the unit on, produces no response...
