Sometimes when I look at the charge of my AirPods, the battery widget on my Home Screen as well as the AirPods part of my settings will show one AirPod and sometimes the case as having 0 charge whatsoever, even if I know this isn’t true. They aren’t dead, they just show nothing. I have beats earbuds too and sometimes the same thing happens there. Anyone else have this?

Just noticed this after recent IOS update too. I am now seeing 0% for the “case” battery when I am not near the case, (left in gym locker) when in fact it showed 75% when initially opening the case to remove the Beats studio buds. Before I only would see the case battery life when removing buds but never afterwards, only just the buds battery life on the iphone battery widget. Makes no sense. Almost as if it’s looking for the case and since can’t find it then assumes it’s at 0%.
Dear Apple Support- This is a bug in iOS 16.2 so please address/fix in a future update. Both Beats and AirPods users are having the same issue with their “case” showing 0% battery life incorrectly on the IOS battery widget. Thanks

Same issue here. Since the software update, my AirPods case is showing as completely dead in the battery display widget on my phone, no matter how long it’s been charging.
