iPhone dictation adding random commas after update

When using the iPhone's dictation in a text message, it inserts random comma punctuations into my sentences even if I did not state for a comma to be inserted. The commas being inserted are not grammatically correct, so this does not appear to be as a result of an auto correct function. This began after I upgraded to IO 16. Does anyone know why this is happening?

This was annoying me significantly as well, but I just realized you can thankfully manually turn it off by going to settings, general, keyboard and dictation and turning off auto-punctuation. I’m so glad, because it was getting on my last nerve since I used dictation so often and had to “fix” virtually everything I ever dictated.

Hi there

in iOS 16 in dictation, there’s a new feature called autopunctuation where it inserts, random commas.‘s and apostrophes it’s your words, because it’s things that they need to be added there.

never fear however as you can’t turn it off one go into settings to go into key. General free go down to keyboard for go down to dictation vase. Turn off the auto punctuation feature there you go you’re done now only you can tell it to add.‘s commas‘ (and other punctuations.

If people would stop complaining and pay attention to possible solutions, they will notice that Bazooka1967 has the solution! I tried it on my iphone--searched in settings for "smart punctuation," went there and turned off both "smart punctuation" and "auto punctuation," and voila! I no longer have those irritating periods and commas appearing in random places when I dictate my texts! Try it, you'll like it!! (Thanks, Bazooka1967!)
