I just reset our Apple Homepods but when I go to invite the rest of my family they do not receive the invitations? I have updated the software on their phones and everyone is running the latest iOS versions. I have cancelled the invitation and tried reinviting them and still they receive nothing. What can I do to fix this? Why do they not give the option to send invitations by iMessage or email?
Same issue here. 16.2 completely removed a family member from the Home. Trying to invite them back does nothing; the invitation just shows as pending.
I spent an hour with a senior advisor who could not figure out the issue. Obviously something is broken on Apple’s end and they won’t admit it.

Uppgrade to iOS 16.4 and then uppgrade to new archetecture and it will work!
Yes... the 16.4 iOS Update fixed the problem... !
Using 16.3.1 and Home not working Home would not update HomePods and Invite not working, I used above from Marco202, worked for me just now. Had to do both iPhones. Thanks Marco!
I have the same problem. We have tried all kinds of solutions, reset the whole hob, apps, log out and log in, reset the whole thing, install all accessories again. Nothing will fix this problem.
I have done all of the above steps. I followed that raddit post as well. Not working though
Anyone else still having this issue? I’ve tried it all aside from a factory reset. Spent 2 hours on the phone with an Apple Support senior advisor and no luck…
Been having the same issue and according to this thread it’s still an issue dating back to January so I am going to the Apple Store and will see what happens
Evidently this needs a fix from Apple through a software update!
I am waiting to see if the major Homekit update will render some accessories incompatible. Otherwise I will try your tip - thank you
If the invites cannot be received check if both iPhones have the newest iOS, if not update both. If that won’t try restarting both phones. If that doesn’t work try reinstalling the Home app.
