Pool Swim Inaccuracy

I used to swim with Huawei GT2 pro. It makes very accurate laps and distance counting. However, with new Apple Watch Ultra I found it misses 3-4 laps from 40. I have checked it a few times compering with Huawei and counting manually. The results were similar. My wife has Apple watch 5 and she has faced the same problem. It does not depend on swimming style. We use custom swimming pool size 19 meters.

I found old topic with the same question. And it looks like no fix yet.

Unfortunately, it looks like successful case. It was topic Watch and Fitness App: Pool Swim Inaccura… - Apple Community with the same problem. Many people have the same problem. It is software problem so I hope rising this question will help.

I've swam with the Apple Watch (7 & Ultra) for a year now (mainly 25 & 50 meter pools) and I think it calculate the distance very accurate. The Apple Watch give me the correct distance almost every time. Sometimes when there's a lot of drills in the workout the Watch struggles to get the distance correct, but if I swim any of the recognized strokes I don't have any problem.

But I would love to get the ability to use the action button to get laps in my swim workouts!
