Broken glass, Apple refuses to replace
The glass of my iphone was broken. Ik had it repaired by an unofficial dealer. Now my face ID doesn't work anymore. Apple refuses to replace the unofficial glass. Is that normal?

Read my post again. What breaks Face ID is an installation problem, and yes, a careless installation can fail later, not necessarily initially. But even if the Face ID failure is not related to the screen replacement, Apple won’t fix it because someone other than a certified Apple technician did not do the repair.

Yes. It’s completely normal. Your phone is untouchable by Apple now that it’s been tampered with and repaired with non-Apple parts.
Yes. An unauthorized dealer installed a non-Apple part. That invalidated the warranty. Apple also has no idea what else the dealer may have damaged or replaced.
It would be like a third party shop dropping a Ford engine into a Chevy, but then expecting the Chevy dealer to honor the warranty when the engine fails.
The bottom line is that your phone has been tampered with by an unauthorized party and repaired with non-Apple parts or parts that were salvaged from damaged devices or stolen.
Apple won’t touch it.
You can live with the problem or buy a new phone. The choice is yours.
And for security reasons, that third party glass means Face ID will never work for you again. You’ll have to use your passcode going forward.
Well, you actually do have an option. Apple has a self-repair plan now where you the user or a qualified third party repair shop can rent the proper tools and buy authentic Apple parts to repair your phone.

Update: I neglected to check your profile which indicates your have an iPhone 11 Pro. This plan is for iPhone 12 and 13 going forward.
And do you think it's normal that this issue only started a week or two ago, while the repair was on September 26th?
You mean because the 3rd party screen was poor quality and failed early?
In the beginning, after the repair, the face ID worked properly.
Make you question more clear, please.
