The last version of Pages for El Capitan was v5.6.2. If you have never installed Pages v5 or later from the Mac App Store, then you cannot get Pages for El Capitan as Apple does not provide downloads of past full Pages installers, and the current versions in the Mac App Store require Monterey or later. You would have to use Pages for iCloud instead.

If however, you did install Pages v5 or later from the Mac App Store, you can launch the Mac App Store on El Capitan and sign in with the identical Apple ID that you used to install Pages previously. Press the option key while clicking Purchased on toolbar. If Pages appears on that Purchased panel with an Update button, click it. You may receive one or more dialogs, and do not click Cancel on any that do appear. The important one is asking your permission to install the last compatible version of Pages for El Capitan. Once done, you will have Pages v5.6.2.
