The Best My External LG 5K monitor can do is only 4k - Why?

I have a Macbook Pro 14" M1 Pro 2021. I also have a LG 34WK95U-W connected to it via thunderbolt cable and it has been working great for the past year. I upgrade from Monterey to Ventura and then I noticed the best my 5120 x 2160 monitor could do was 4k.

I downgraded to Monterey thinking that is what caused the issue but that did not help.
I have tried different Thunderbolt cables thinking that my cable went bad, but that did help either.
I tried to reset the NVRAM with instructions on how to do so on YouTube, but that didn't help
I tried to connect via HDMI but that didn't help
I tried all 3 USB-C ports on the MacBook to the LG monitor, but that didn't help.

Looking at Hardware > Graphics/Display properties it seems like my Macbook thinks my LG display is 3440x1440.

Any ideas what I am doing wrong?

MacBook Pro 14″, macOS 12.6

I installed the SwitchResX, I tried to follow a YT video about creating a custom res of 5120x2160 but it didn't work after I saved it, I could not locate the new resolution in the list even though it was active. So I tried using it as a start up resolution, I rebooted and that did not work as well.

The cable I am using seems to be about 2 feet long and has the number 4 on it. I think that means Thunderbolt 4, it is from OWC. I think Thunderbolt 4 is 40 G bits/sec.

I did make that change from 1.2 to 1.4 but since I am using the Thunderbolt connection it did not help.

Thanks Grant.

I tried holding the option key down while in the display preferences. When I click on detect display nothing happens. I thought I would see a red outline on one of the displays.

I looked for SwitchResX in the app store but I found "AnyScreenResolution" and tried changing the resolution from that app, but it does not have 5k listed at all.

That feature, "gather windows" may have dropped away with MacOS 12 Monterey.

It shows in Mac help before that version.

I created a custom res but I can't seem to locate it in the "current res" tab. Odd.
