Why won't my font book download new fonts?
I'm trying to download new fonts but recently the error 'no installable fonts selected' keeps coming up, does anyone know why and how I can fix this please?

Hello ozlem_munur,
Let's use the steps from this resource to boot into safe mode to see if that behavior persists from there: How to use safe mode on your Mac
It can take a few extra minutes to boot into safe mode. Your screen may flash or flicker while in safe mode. Those behaviors are expected. Testing in safe mode runs a check on your disk, removes some cached files, and can help isolate conflicts with startup items. Once you've tested that behavior in safe mode, you can restart to leave safe mode.
Should that still continue, is this occurring with both fonts downloaded directly in the Font Book app, and fonts downloaded from other sources?
Let us know, and we'll keep moving forward based on your results.
Yes, attached the screenshot
the SodoSans not found in "allfonts"
is it because of new OS (ventura)? because I can use the fonts before updated to new OS
attached the fonts as well in drive
Can you install it on your Mac?

You are perhaps trying the wrong folder. There are 3. System/Library/Fonts cannot be used. Library/Fonts and Home/Library/Fonts should work. To get to Home/Library you need to hold down the option key while doing Finder > Go.
Hi Tom, thank you for your reply
actually I've copied already (Sodo Sans family fonts)
but the fonts can't found in fontbook and not appear in Adobe family program as well,
Same problem with me,
Updated to new OS, Ventura
Some fonts is missing.
Tried to reinstall but "the installable fonts selected" appears
anyone can help?
Try just dragging the font files manually into Library/Fonts or Home/Library/Fonts
Can you perhaps see these fonts in TextEdit > Format > Font > Show Fonts > All Fonts?
Its solved already
I have downloaded the .ttf version of the fonts
its worked at adobe family
Thank you

Good news! Very strange that the .otf version did not work.
I think this is happening because Postcript fonts aren't supported in Ventura. All the PS fonts have EXEC on them and don't open.
