Can't log into Ipod touch 4th gen

I am having what I believe the same issue as https://discussions.apple.com/thread/7940447 where I am unable to login into any apple account on my 4th gen I pod touch. However I can see no way to turn off 2fa on my account and can't find a way to create an account without activating 2fa. Additionally making an account through the device doesn't appear to work. Does anyone know a work around?

Unable to sign in to Apple Account after resetting iPad I just reset my iPad mini 4 running iOS 15.8.4 and when I get to signing in to my apple id it says "Verification failed" and won't let me sign in. I don't even get a 2FA popup on my iPhone. I have verified that the password is correct and I can use Safari to sign in via the web on this iPad so there is nothing wrong with the account or network connection. ipod touch 4th generation won't set up new ID We got a 4th generation ipod touch (6.1.6). We tried to create a new id and every time we do it, it gives us a server error. If we set up an ID on another device, we can't sign into the ipod because of a two-factor verification issue.
