MacBook Pro mid 2014 15" Retina display

Is this device still supported by Apple (Dec. 2022). The battery is swollen and screen needs replacement. Can it be repaired?

I purchased a refurbished MacBook Pro 2017 15" Retina display, but would still like to use the older MBP.

I let the older battery drain to about 25% (previously had it on AC continuously)...and plugged the charger in again. Not sure what to do...charge it fully again, or drain it completely to have it replaced???

I would not put power source to a swollen battery.
