VPN no longer working after 11.7.2 update. It´s working fine on another Mac running 11.7
What could be the fix?

Same for me. L2TP seems to be broken for now with macOS BigSur 11.7.2.
I have found this workaround (not a fix):
If your VPN provider supports "Cisco IPSec" (beside L2TP), you can add another VPN connection using this connection type. For me, that was a lifesaver.
My ICT set Forticlient VPN for me so I can not help you but I suggest you to read instructions I think you can download from the web
For me, it is the VPN that is built-in to macOS, which I use to connect to my university's private resources.
I have the same problem with non working VPN after upgrade to macOS 11.7.2
I cannot migrate to Monterey because my Macbook 12" 2015 doesn't support it.
Apple, please fix this problem!
Any idea about when 11.7.3 is expected to be delivered? Cross the fingers that they have solved the issue.
My old MacBook from 2015 is unable to upgrade to Monterey. Probably thousands of people have the same problem!

It's shame that Apple have broken VPN in Big Sur 11.7.2
I have 12.6.2 Monterrey and my VPN just stoped working. It is IVPN.
How can I get the 11.7.3 update? My MacBook says it’s up to date as of 1/16/2023.

According this thread L2TP VPN is not working on macOS after up… - Apple Community. Apple's solution is to upgrade to macOS Monterey.
Apple did tell me that their only offer to address this was upgrade to Monterey and that’s not a good solution for thousand of people I’m sure
