QtWebEngineProcess quit unexpectedly

What is the cause of this message; QtWebEngineProcess quit unexpectedly?


I have an Elgato Stream Deck which is not detected by the Stream Deck software version 6.0.1 (17722). The message appeared today 17-Dec-2022. I have the following system and OS version -

OS Version: macOS Monterey 12.6 (21G115)

Model Name: Mac Studio

Model Identifier: Mac13,1

Chip: Apple M1 Max

Total Number of Cores: 10 (8 performance and 2 efficiency)

Memory: 64 GB

System Firmware Version: 7459.141.1

OS Loader Version: 7459.141.1

Some poorly-written app is using the cross-platform "Qt" framework to write its apps. Using Qt is one of the singular worst things a Mac developer can do.

I guess "Stream Deck" software is using Qt. Too bad for you if you depend on that software. I suggest you report it to the developer. They probably have no idea it is broken. They won't know until you tell them.
