I need to verify if a pair of first gen airpods are mine. Therefore I wanted to use the serial number on the box and match it to the serial number on the airpods, but different sites are telling me, that the first gen all came with the same serial number. Is this true?

The first generation AirPods have the same serial number which is engraved on the case is on the left and right AirPod.
