iPhone 12 Glitching

Hi, I recently upgraded to iOS 16, and since then, my phone has been glitching non stop. It keeps pressing on random things. For example, I could be watching a youtube video and my phone randomly skips through the whole video. Or I could be trying to send a text and my phone would keep typing random letters. However, I don't know if I should take it to an apple store because it is not always consistent. I can go about 12 hours max without it happening. It's just super frusturating. And as a highschooler, it's super hard to have a non-working phone. Suggestions?
