Magic Mouse ruined! not working at all, not connected, not paired, nothing!

Right after I updated my OS to Monterey version 12.6.2, my mouse stopped working, I tried everything that was stated on the net to fix it and nothing worked, from turning it off and back on, to turning bluetooth off and on, to pairing it with its original lightning cable, to safe mode imac, everything....

Any idea if there is going to be a real fix for that? coz it's really frustrating knowing that your mouse is working normally, but can't use it on your imac now.

Thank you

Wondering which iMac model (year) you use with you Magic Mouse.

Guess you tried re-starting the iMac ? ... worked for me (older iMac ... early MacOS)

Also wondering if you tried Apple Support's trouble-shooting tips:

and

If you can't connect your Magic Keyboard, Magic Mouse, or Magic Trackpad to your Mac

You may want to send feedback to Apple.

They will likely not reply, yet your feedback will reach those behind the scenes.

If others are also sending feedback on the same issue,

we will likely see it addressed in a future update

Thank you for your reply, and for letting us know you still need a solution.

These are the tips for connecting a mouse using Monterey:

Connect an Apple wireless accessory with Mac – Apple Support

Eg: One of the methods:

On your Mac, choose Apple menu  > System Preferences, then click Bluetooth .

Select the keyboard, mouse or trackpad in the Devices list, then click Connect.

So what actually happens when you try to connect ... is there an error message or ?

Article also says:

For more help using Bluetooth, click the Help button  in Bluetooth preferences.

Any help there ?

Hello brbo,

Thank you for replying.

my imac is: iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2015)

I have been using this mouse with it it's been 7 years honestly.

I checked both links and actually tried em all before. there is nothing i didn't try. Even when i connect the mouse with its Lightning Cable, its led light at the back doesn't blink whatsoever. it's like it's dead. Can't even remove it from bluetooth devices when it shows there. (doesn't have an X or can't even right click on it). nothing.

I will try to send feedback to apple and see how it goes. but truly frustrating, coz i tried it on another computer and it got connected in a blink of an eye and worked more than properly.

thank you
