Apple TV login not possible on Sony Bravia XR 83 inch TV

This is a brand new TV. The sign in button does not work. It just keeps loading.

I can navigate and see the content but can never play anything because again, it just keeps showing the "loading symbol"

I have seen this same issue on another thread and that guy had to install the Apple TV apk file via USB.

I'm here to see if there's any other solution to this.
