I want to prevent Car Play to stop notifying me when someone calls

I’m very surprised there’s no simple way to prevent CarPlay from notifying me when a phone call comes in. it can be very dangerous and distracting. I have tried every iteration of do not disturb, none of them work. Phone calls still show up.

when I’m sitting still in the car, I can turn off Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth, and within a matter of seconds, CarPlay turns Wi-Fi and Bluetooth back on, and takes over my phone. CarPlay is great for music, podcasts, and other things, but I do not want to be disturbed with phone calls while I’m driving.

CarPlay isn’t even listed as a product the apple supports in the list below.

Any help would be appreciated

Hello Raycramurearsr,

Let's start off by checking the helpful steps in this article which can help with this issue: Use the Driving Focus on your iPhone to concentrate on the road. It explains:

"With iOS 15 and later, the Driving Focus helps you stay focused on the road. When you turn it on, text messages and other notifications are silenced or limited.

When you have the Driving Focus set up, you can ask Siri to read replies to you, so you don't have to look at your iPhone. Incoming calls are allowed only when iPhone is connected to CarPlay, a car Bluetooth system, or a hands-free accessory."

Let us know if we can help with anything else at all or if this doesn't settle your issue so we can look into this further with you. Thanks and have a fabulous day!
