Delete Lots of Old Emails

I have 259,000 emails in my inbox - I can't just old control and select emails - takes too long and eventually times out. Outlook has a rule - if email is older than x months, move to archive or delete. Does icloud mail have this feature ? I can't believe I'm the only person that has this issue - it would seem to be such a basic feature to have for icloud mail. Suggestions ?

Hi MartyGood,

Rules can be created for iCloud Mail on iCloud.com. You can find the steps to do so in this article: Set up rules to filter email in Mail on iCloud.com.

Set up rules to filter email
1. In Mail on iCloud.com, click the Settings button at the top of the Mailboxes list, then choose Preferences.
2. Click Rules, then click “Add rule.”
3. Below “If a message,” use the pop-up menu and text field to specify the type of messages you want to filter.
4. Below Then, use the pop-up menus or fields to specify an action for the rule.
5. Click Add.

You can have up to 500 rules.

Hope that helps!
