The scan IJ program in my Canon MG 6821 stopped working (due to incompatibility with 64 bit) after I upgraded my Mac to 12.6.2. Is there a way to use scan function?

Hi, kailash212.. yes, you’d have to find a 64-bit ( Catalina) compliant driver… here’s a link to the support page for that… will do up to MacOS 13 no problem: https://www.usa.canon.com/support/p/pixma-mg6821#idReference%3Dsoftware-drivers.. you could also try using “preview” app which is built into the MacOS… assuming the scanner part is TWAIN compliant, you should be good to go-I assume you’ve already set it up under system prefs> printing and scanning.. see this link to check for a firmware update for your printer: https://support.usa.canon.com/kb/index?page=content&id=ART176195… if there is one, it’ll install it… don’t unplug/turn off/disconnect the printer while it’s doing a firmware update…
