I’ve seen articles and even videos about aliens, Sasquatch, Nessie, Chupacabras, and many other topics, and even some claims that blockchain algorithms are broadly useful and performant, beyond their use providing a technobabble foundation for frauds and scams.
The world is awash with clickbait and stupid and manipulation and opinions.
As for charging wirelessly and charging wired, it’s all power going into a rechargeable battery. It’ll all produce heat, and it’ll all be less than completely efficient. Qi and MagSafe charging does require more power, is somewhat less efficient, and tends to be somewhat slower than wired. But is more convenient.
As for battery life, other issues—and not the least of which is excessive environmental heat—will shorten battery life.
Charging? Sure. Each recharge—wired or wireless—shortens battery life… slightly.
Batteries are consumable, and are replaceable. When battery health drops below 80%, get it replaced. Otherwise, use your iPhone for what you bought it for. Which was probably not as a battery.
