can't watch the big band theory logged in to Apple tv

The TV show ‘The Big Bang Theory’ is not available through an Apple TV+ subscription.

‘The Big Bang Theory’ is available through HBO Max, by subscription (but unrelated to the Apple TV app).

‘The Big Bang Theory’ is available in the Apple TV app as an iTunes Store purchase, to buy per complete series, or per season, or per episode*.

Outside the US, this show may also be available through Netflix or other content providers in select countries.

BRAVIAVU1,

Currently, the Apple TV app on Sony smart TVs doesn’t support in-app purchases, and would show you “How to Watch” instructions for content that your account isn’t yet authorized for. Instead, do the financial transaction on a different supported device (e.g. iPhone). Once completed, it would be available on your Sony TV as well, linked/synced through your Apple ID account.

Get the Apple TV app or Apple TV+ app on your smart TV or streaming device - Apple Support

“2. On Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, and Sony TV devices, you can't purchase content from the Apple TV app. You can buy, rent, or subscribe on another supported device and then watch in the Apple TV app on your Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, or Sony TV device.”

Sometimes it helps to have the devices involved take a fresh look at settings:

● If this is a service, try disabling it and turning it back on.

● Try signing out of accounts and back in again.

Sign in with your Apple ID - Apple Support

● Restarting is a simple step that can resolve many unexpected behaviors.

Are you in your home country?

Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions - Legal - Apple Media Services - Apple - "Our Services are available for your use in your country of residence (“Home Country”).

And: "Certain Services and Content available to you in your Home Country may not be available to you when traveling outside of your Home Country."

What exactly is happening when you try to watch it? Any error messages (exact wording)?
