I have years worth of music and playlists on iTunes and I need to migrate them to Apple Music because I’m finally upgrading from Sierra to Big Sur on my MacBook Pro mid-2015.
Is it possible to migrate iTunes playlists to Apple Music seamlessly? Or is that even the right question?
Yes, see Move your iTunes library to a new computer - Apple Community. If upgrading it should happen automatically, but you can option-start-Music if needed to select your old .itl file for conversion. Monterey seems to have an issue converting files sometimes, but Big Sur should be fine.
