Is there spyware on my phone?

So my ex husband got his hands on my phone. It is an iPhone 12. I have not allowed any apps to track me, yet when I open privacy report, there is a huge list of websites I haven’t been to. It shows apps that have been opened when I haven’t been on my phone. BUT HERE IS THE BEST PART- when I go to Analytics & Improvements under Privacy, and then click “data”, there is a whole list of data that has been collected. I am including a picture of that, as well as a picture of the details from clicking on one of those-It says “iPhone 13”—He also said at one time on the phone “don’t you have a 13? I don’t know if he was talking to me. I have tried updating my phone, but it just stops during the update. I went to the apple store, my cellular store—- no help whatsoever. Also on the FaceTime app it had a link to send to people so they can FaceTime with me? Is that normal? Phone uses a lot of cellular data..at. Retain times, when I’m not even using it. ALSO-In the meta data it says “battery-2 user-3” ????? WTF??? I know I should just take hammer to to **** thing. Also.. it does NOT show the same Wi-Fi networks as my daughter. BUT- this network has followed me everywhere I move-I don’t understand-! And as I’m typing this, the Wi-Fi address popped up on my screen.. dear lord, it’s the last screen shot..maybe I will get a hammer.

iPhone 12, iOS 15

Read this: Personal Safety User Guide - Apple Support (there’s a PDF to read, linked at the bottom)

Here? Back up, and factory reset your iPhone and do not restore the backup, start over with fresh downloads, reset your device passcode, reset all your passwords, reset your carrier PIN, switch your iPhone SIM over to eSIM if your carrier supports eSIM, enable two-factor authentication, resolve anything that shows in Apple’s personalized security recommendations (Settings > passwords > Security Recommendations), reset and reload and re-password your Wi-Fi router and review anything else connected to your network, use Safety Check on your iPhone, and maybe enable enable lockdown mode. Basically, go through the PDF and follow the directions.

And to be very blunt, wading through analytics and logs while you have not reset your device and have not updated your iOS to the most current 16.2 and the reset is just… it’s just not what you want and need to do, is not the direction you want to be headed in, and it’s not helpful.

Analytics arguably have roughly three uses: by and for Apple and Apple’s developers, by third-party app developers looking at the data their own apps have logged, and for identifying users that are going to expend immense time and effort and focus looking for an unknown number of needles in an unknown and ever-increasing number of haystacks, and without knowing what the sought-after needles actually look like, nor whether there are even any needles present.
