Apple Watch 7 wifi disconnecting

Hi All,

I have an issue where my watch will not auto join Wi-Fi networks and have to manually connect. Then when I come back later the watch has disconnected from WiFi.

I also have another issue where it will not connect to a ubiquiti WiFi platform for very long and gets stuck not connecting and when I manually connect it will for 5-10 seconds then disconnects from the WiFi.

Any advice would be welcomed on this.

thanks

Hello AGJBond007,

Thanks for posting in the Apple Support Communities.

It sounds like you're unable to connect to Wi-Fi networks automatically, and have a problem with a specific network as well with your Apple Watch, right?

If we have that correct, let's check if Auto-Join is enabled for the networks on your Apple Watch. We'll include steps to help with checking this and an image below, and you can find more helpful details for using Wi-Fi with your Apple Watch, here: Connect your Apple Watch to Wi-Fi - Apple Support

Forget a Wi-Fi network

1. Open the Settings app on your Apple Watch.

2. Tap Wi-Fi, then tap the name of the network you’re connected to.

3. Tap Forget This Network.

Option to Forget This Network on Apple Watch

As for the network you're unable to join, have you tried forgetting the network to see if that will change the results? In addition, see if the Wi-Fi network name matches or is similar to other networks you use. If so, see if adjusting the network name will provide different results.

Should you need additional assistance, contact Apple Support directly to check into this in more detail with you.

Have a great day!
