How to set multiple HomePod Mini at home?

I‘ve just got one HomePod mini set up at master bedroom using my personal Apple ID. I plan to buy one at Living Room and one at my son’s bedroom.

The questions is which Apple ID shall I use to set up my son’s bedroom? My son’s Apple ID or mine?

If use mine, can my son’s calendar be read by Siri? Or my personal details be disclosed to my son? Thanks.

My suggestion would be to set up your HomePod mini with your Apple ID, and the HomePod mini in your sons bedroom with his Apple ID, so that your and his personal information are kept separate.

Additionally, the music choices you make in Apple Music will then be stored separately for your individual Accounts, so that the suggestions in Apple Music don’t mix up.
