I have a late model 2013 Mac. 3.5GHz, 6-core xeon E5, 64GB 1866 MHz DDR3, and AMD FirePro D700 6GB. I just upgraded to Monterey 12.6.2 from 12.6.0 and now Safari doesn't work. It's greyed out with a line through it. Updates says it's up to date. Any ideas why Safari all of a sudden isn't compatible with the Mac?

Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at startup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode? Could take 10 minutes.
Safe mode attempts to repair Disks & clears lots of caches & loads safe Drivers, & prevents loading of 3rd party extensions, so if Safe Mode works try again in regular boot.
To find out if it's system wide or user specific, try this...
Open System Preferences>Users & Groups, unlock the lock, click on the little plus icon, make a new admin account, log out & into the new account.
Does it work in the new account?
It does not work in safe mode.
I logged in as a different user and it still does not work.
I can't imagine why Safari is incompatible with Monterey 12.6.2, but it's not.

I think I'd like a second opinion. Reinstalling the entire OS seems like a lot of work. The only thing broken is Safari. Is there another way to troubleshoot this?

Reinstallation of the OS did not fix this issue. Any ideas? I just reinstalled Monterey 12.6.2 as suggested and still Safari says it's incompatible with the OS.
