Hi chaitanyathak,

Here's how to change the default account your iPhone stores contacts to:

"Choose a default account to add new contacts

If you set up multiple accounts in the Contacts app, you can choose a default account to add new contacts to:

  1. Go to Settings > Contacts > Default Account.
  2. Choose an account."

You can check out the full resource here: Manage and delete contacts on your iPhone or iPad

We hope this helps.

Take care.

Thanks for the additional information, chaitanyathak. If your device up to date? If not, let's go ahead and update, as this will allow your device to have the recent settings, which may be able to help: Update your iPhone or iPad

1) Back up your device using iCloud or your computer.
2) Plug your device into power and connect to the internet with Wi-Fi.
3) Go to Settings > General, then tap Software Update.
4) If you see more than one software update option available, choose the one that you want to install.
The Settings app on iPhone showing options to update to iOS 15.7 or iOS 16.

5) Tap Install Now. If you see Download and Install instead, tap it to download the update, enter your passcode, then tap Install Now. If you don't know your passcode, learn what to do.

Let us know if this helps.

Regards.
