How do I turn Do Not Disturb mode off on my iPhone?

For over 1 day now Do Not Disturb has been on and I have not been getting any notifications. I look at my Focus schedules and I had two set up for night time. But Do not disturb was turned on and the moon displayed during the day. I went in and disabled all my schedules and I still CANNOT turn off do not disturb! It is still showing the moon. Why is there no toggle to turn on and off ! How do I get do not disturb setting off so I can receive notifications, I looked at Apples pages and they are worthless.

I finally figured this one out. No toggle buttons, removing every focus feature did not work, deleting all schedules did not work, was not int he control center, etc.

This worked :

I pressed and held the button on the right of my phone and I spoke to my phone: "Turn off Do not disturb".

and then I did a happy dance :)

Same thing happened to me and I toggled

volume from hi to low again. It worked.

calls stopped routing to vc mail. My

volume was never turned down and my

do not disturb was never turned on.

so, I’m not sure what’s going on

within the app itself. I have the same

problem with my phone freezing up

and can’t enter password or place calls

i disabled the Siri App and now my phone

never freezes up.

Coolside - Can you please provide a screen shot of what you see when you try to follow our instructions? And let us know which iPhone you have. The options may be different on earlier versions of the phone. In my experience, once I turn off all the Focuses, they do not turn back on unless I turn them on. We are trying to figure out why our instructions do nor seem to work on your iPhone.

It happened to me today. I noticed my lock screen clock was dimmed. And Do Not Disturb came on automatically, although I had it turned off.

THE FIX (for me, anyway): I created a new Lock screen and then linked it to Do Not Disturb. Then I was able to turn Do Not Disturb off from my usual lock screen (select the Focus icon), and Do Not Disturb quit coming on automatically.

Apple needs to fix this bug.

I was having this problem too. I was able to get around it by creating a new focus called "Awake" (you can call it whatever you want). I basically set all the focus options to those that wouldn't block anything nor interfere with anything and set the schedule to the times I wanted the do not disturb off - in my case from 6AM to 12AM.

For example the default setting for notifications is the use the "Allow notifications from " setting and then pick people you want to let through, but I instead selected "Silence notifications from" and didn't list any people. Same for apps - I deleted the default app listings under "Silence notifications from" so that no apps were listed at all.

There is no focus in settings of control center

No, there isn't. That's because you can't remove it from the Control Center. To access Focus, swipe down from the upper left of your screen. You'll see the Focus button. If there is any Focus active, the name of that focus will be on the button, e.g., Do Not Disturb, Work, Sleep. Tap the circular picture on that button. Don't press and hold. Don't tap the words. Just tap the picture. Focus will be turned off.

Today I was prompted to turn on “do not disturb” for a 1 hour meeting. I didn’t it but somehow I did it. Now I can’t get it off. I’ve tried following all searched directions and it won’t shut off. Why isn’t there an option to shut off in the calendar where the meeting is logged. Why is it so **** difficult?

You can always turn off Focus by opening the Control Panel and tapping on the small, circular picture on the Focus button. Just tap, don't press and don't tap the words, just the picture.

People don't answer...@ right I figured mine out by myself -. obviously, we all have the textbook answer FROM APPLE. i’m pretty sure everybody can go into settings search focus and come up with going through that option in this/my case I must’ve turned focus on from messenger app.

Messenger is a Facebook app.

If you mean "Messages," you can't turn Focus on or off through Settings>Messages. What you can do is turn on or off the ability of Messages to access Focus.

Regardless, you don't turn Focus on or off through Settings. You do it through the Control Center. See my previous post.
