Rash or chemical burn
I dont know whether I am allergic to something in my watch or band, but my left wrist, part of my left hand & forearm up to elbow is bright red & burning sensation & very itchy. I only wore my new watch a total of maybe 8 hours. I did not work out or even break a sweat when I was wearing it. I didnt know I had to have a special plug - USB C to charge it back up, so when the battery was really low, I just took it off till I could get a charger. I charged it up, then wore it for a little while & took it off again because my skin was starting to itch really bad I have put all kinds of ointments & cold compresses on my arm, but the burning sensation comes back after I remove the cold compress. I also took some allergy pills, like benadryl, but it has not stopped the itching. I always wanted an Apple watch & just got it several days ago & now dont know what to do. The band is new & clean (Apple silicone) & I have not sweated. I dont know if another type of band will help or not. If I am not better by morning, I am going to the dr to get it checked out I know scratching makes it worse, but I can not help it. I am sick over this. I am returning the watch tomorrow unfortunately. I am hoping to find out the cause & solution soon - but have to return watch before it is too late to. If anybody can relate to this & have found a different band or something that will not cause pain or skin irritations I would love to hear about it. I really hope I can get another Apple watch in the near future!
