Apple Watch Ultra Basal Body Temp stopped working

Hello, my apple watch ultra was measuring my wrist temperature normally when I got it in September. Mid October I switched to the new iPhone and re-paired my watch with the new phone, ever since then my watch won’t measure my wrist or basal body temp. I slept more than 5 days -in a row- for more than 4 hours, my watch band is properly adjusted and I think everything is fine. Not sure what else to do.

please help.

Thank you!

Hi HanaAmer1,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We understand that you're having an issue with your Apple Watch Ultra recording your Wrist Temperature. We'd like to help.

Since you noticed this happened after you switched to a new iPhone, lets start off by making sure you meet the requirements and that Wrist Detection is set up correctly on your new iPhone:

Requirements:

  • An Apple Watch Series 8 or Apple Watch Ultra.
  • Sleep must be set up with Track Sleep with Apple Watch enabled.
  • Sleep Focus must be enabled for at least 4 hours a night for about 5 nights.

Check Wrist Detection

  1. On your iPhone, open the Watch app.
  2. Tap Privacy.
  3. Check Wrist Detection.

if you meet the requirements, and Wrist Detection is enabled in Privacy, but you're still having issues, please connect with Apple Support so they can look into this a bit further.

Hope that helps.

Cheers!
