I have iPhone 14Pro. Apparently my reminders app has never been updated and doesn’t include all colors or any icons. How do I update the app?
Here’s what mine looks like (iOS 16.2).
Might you have some very old historic Reminders app from more than three years ago? Perhaps this applies.

Does Settings > Reminders > Accounts show that iCloud is your one and only account capable of housing reminders?
If so, try this:

Tapping the three dots in the circle in the upper right reveals “Edit Lists” where some items may be added or removed. For example, “Flagged” could be removed there.
Thank you very much for sending a copy of your reminder screen. Mine is definitely not up to date. I do not have the flagged portion, nor do I have 3 dots in circle at top.
just don’t know how to update. There is no “update” message included.

Your Reminders app is updated when you update iOS. If you’re using the current iOS version, you have the latest Reminders app.
I have updated to iOS 16.2. Still reminders is not updated with icons & all colors!
Mine looks like this except I do not have the “flagged” on mine. Can’t tell if you have icons or additional colors.
