Cookies are not working in apps and in adding new Gmail account for Mail app

I opened Air Canada app and tried to sign in to my account but when I try to log in, it says it doesn’t work because cookies are disabled.

In my iPhone Safari settings, cookies are NOT disabled. I’ve already tried to clear website history for safari settings,

force reset after changes, offload app and reinstall, delete app and reinstall.


This also applies to adding a new gmail

email account for the Mail app for Apple. I cannot add a new email account because of this reason.


It is very frustrating and I truly believe that this is a glitch. Please provide a solution for this ASAP. What’s the point for having apps if you can’t even login to your account?


This happens only in more recent updates as I’ve added new Gmail accounts to the Mail app previously with no problems. I would say it’s been over a year since this happened.
