Hi and thanks for your reply. I use the iOS native mail client to access my emails most of the time, and occasionally from my Mac Mail client, but I also log into iCloud from a work machine with Windows 10 via a Chrome Browser. This is where the problem occurs.

Greetings jaw7621,

Could you please tell us more about the set up you’re using for iCloud mail? This message is posted in a Windows community, but you’ve indicated you’re working with the iCloud website. Are you solely using the iCloud website to view your iCloud emails? Which version of Windows? These details will us, as a community of Apple users, provide focused troubleshooting.

Apple has some articles that include troubleshooting for iCloud Mail and we can suggest starting there - If iCloud Mail isn't working

If you can't access iCloud Mail at iCloud.com
On your iPad, Mac, and PC, you can use iCloud Mail on iCloud.com. On an iPhone, use the Mail app instead.
1. Make sure your browser is up to date. If you're using Safari, update Safari to its latest version
2. Clear your browser's cache. In Safari, choose Safari > Preferences. Click the Advanced tab. Select "Show Develop menu in menu bar", then close Preferences. Click the Develop menu, then select "Empty Caches." If you're using a different browser, check its help menu for steps.
3. If you can access iCloud Mail from a different location or Internet connection, contact your Internet service provider (ISP) or network administrator. Some Internet configurations intentionally or unintentionally prevent access to certain websites or services, such as iCloud Mail.

If instead you’re using Outlook - If you can’t add iCloud Mail, Contacts, or Calendars to Outlook

iCloud Mail
If you need help setting up or sending mail from your iCloud Mail account, try these steps.

If you have emails that stay in your Outbox
1. Move the message from the Outbox to the Drafts folder, or delete it.
2. Open the message in the Drafts or Deleted Items folder, then select Send again.

If you can't send or receive mail
1. Make sure you can send and receive email from iCloud.com and your iPhone.
2. Close Outlook.
3. Sign out of iCloud for Windows, then sign back in.
4. Restart Outlook.

If you want iCloud Mail as your default account for sending mail
You can change your Outlook settings so that emails are automatically sent from your iCloud Mail account. To make iCloud Mail the default account, follow these steps in Outlook 2010 or later:
1. Go to File > Account Settings.
2. On the Info tab, select Account Settings.
3. Choose your iCloud Mail account from the list, then select Set as Default. If you can't select Set as Default, then your iCloud Mail account is already the default account.

Thanks.

Hello jaw7621,

Let's use a different web browser on your Windows PC, such as Edge, to see if you still continue to experience that behavior. That will help us determine if this is a browser specific conflict.

Additionally, if you use the iCloud website on your Mac, do you still continue to get that prompt?

Let us know, and we'll keep moving forward based on your results.
