Apple Wallet - locations/loyalty card issues

Apple Wallet as installed on my new IPhone 14 16.2 registered and set up for the UK, is useless to me. It gives me a choice of Credit/Debit cards or Travel Cards and no option for Loyalty (store) cards, though CNET recently advised such cards are now eligible for Apple Wallet.  When I open Travel Cards it reveals fixed lists for various travel concerns' transit cards/passes for locations in China, Hong-Kong, Japan and the USA, that can only be selected from and not added to. Please see attached screen shot. I know the phone was assembled in China and am wondering if a Chinese glitch has crept in somehow. It seems also that the app can't be hard deleted, in the hope that another, more geographically (UK) appropriate version of the app might be downloaded. When I did delete the app a notice appeared that the app content is stored in iCloud and would not be removed. I then went to the App Store and d/loaded Apple Wallet again and it was the same useless (to me) version. Any suggestions to resolve this issue would be much appreciated. TIA
