I had about 2000 + photos on my phone so have transferred them to my laptop.
the problem is that a lot have transferred as LIVP files and they won’t open on windows 11. I assume this is something to do with them being Live Photos ?
There are about 500 photos and I have no idea what is on them!
a lot of them are from a once in a lifetime trip that I would hate to lose!
Is there an easy workaround for a technophobe please 🙏🏻

If they are on the pc and no longer on the phone you will need to search for a third party app to convert them.
If they are still on the iphone then import them to a borrowed Mac then export as normal photos.
You could turn off Live in each photo before importing to Windows.
I don’t know anyone with a Mac. But will ask around Thankyou.
they are still on my phone for now because I’m not sure which I have lost. So any photo with the live on in the details will transfer as a normal file instead of LIVP? That’s a lot of photos to go through but I will have to if that’s the only way

Live needs to be turned off
I googled "Convert LIVP to jpg in windows" and got quite a few entries.
