Unable to start .jar file in Ventura OS on M1 MacBook Pro

I have just downloaded the latest version of Java 8 for Mac OS, and a new program I just purchased uses .jar file to get it started. It just won't start. I have uninstalled and re-installed Java, and the program I have just purchased.

I have tried running it in Terminal, and it returns permission denied. I have been into Settings & Security and given permission via App Store and identified developers. Nada, nothing.

Please anyone, tell me how to get this program up and running.

My solution (not Ventura, but Big Sur): open Privacy and Security, select Full Disk Access, and allow /System/Library/CoreServices/JavaLauncher.app to have full disk access. Shutdown and restart any Java apps. My Java app was then able to see all files.
