Touch ID and Ventura

Newly installed Ventura on Studio Mac.

In settings, there is no "Touch ID" icon.

Under passwords, there were the two fingerprints implemented before Ventura upgrade. All settings were grayed out and unusable. I deleted both fingerprints, thinking I would add new ones to see if that fixed the problem. When the last fingerprint was deleted - ALL fingerprint-related wording disappeared. Thus, there was no way on that screen to add the new fingerprints. (All that remained were Password related or Apple watch password acceptance items.)

Thoughts?
