"Background Items Added" in Ventura 13.1

Not true for me. It is unchanged with the same four startup items that were all once uninstalled (deeply, including LaunchAgent and LaunchDaemon plists) and reinstalled. On a given startup, the "gang of four" will sometimes pop up later for no apparent reason.

I'm with you on the Steam errors Jeroenhe even after deleting the Steam App and purging any Steam-related files found through HD search as well as clearing all log-in items.

I agree with others that there appears to be a miss here with the Ventura update if we cannot manage this rather annoying behavior that is actually quite worrisome if Steam or some other application installing items in background.

(Huge sigh.) This has been happening to me for months and I was hoping that 13.1 would fix it. Not only do they show up on startup, they randomly reappear while I'm working.

Why do you think this is a problem with just Microsoft? It happens to multiple installed apps. Why are you posting the same canned response if you don't even know how to uninstall a program?

I am getting this for apps that I have deleted, long ago. They do not appear in Login Items Settings.

Indeed. Apple the all wise has failed miserably here. There should be one uninstall method. They should not allow others.

So, there's two options with nothing in common. Seems like two methods.

I have the same problem with GoToMeeting, so it's not just Microsoft's additions. I have Ventura 13.1 on 2022 MacBook Air M2.

This is still happening to me also even after the 13.2 update

Am I right to simply remove applications by going the the Applications folder and moving the app to Trash?

Still getting spammed with these. Woke my Mac to see ~20: 10x each of two notifications
