Mac Desktop Documents Folder Not Working After Ventura 13.1 Update

After updating my Mac desktop to Ventura 13.1, the Documents folder is no longer working. It shows no Date Modified information, no Size information, and cannot be opened. When I check my Backup folders, all of the files that are saved in the Documents folder appear and can be accessed. When I attempt to copy the files over from the backup to try and restore them, it will not allow me to drag and drop them to the original Documents folder. I am glad my files are still there, but what is going on?

Go to the System/Apple ID/iCloud and see if the iCloud Drive is on or off. If on click on it to see if Desktop & Documents is enabled. Sometimes we're asked if we want to enable that during an update or upgrade and answer in the affirmative without thinking about it.

If that's the case you'll have to disengage the Desktop & Documents option and also the iCloud Drive option.
