Can't send iMessage Attachments to Android users

I cannot send screenshots, photos, or any other such attachment to someone using an Android device. I can send text (green SMS) to an Android device, but not a 52KB PDF document, for example.

This exact question appears in the community forum from 3 years ago without a solution. It's still a problem. Solutions about the iPhone setting for forwarding SMS are not the answer. SMS forwarding is working for plain text.

Is there a fix for this specific problem? MacBook Pro (M1 Max), Ventura (13.1), iPhone XS, iOS 16.2

MacBook Pro 14″, macOS 13.1

For the phone, are you through Verizon?

If so, your issue might be related to the issue that they've (Verizon) been having with the provisioning of the iPhone 14's.

You can call them (or chat with them through the My Verizon app) and they can fix it for you.

Another option, and a D.I.Y fix, can be found here in the thread:

This DIY Verizon iPhone 14 message fix was originally posted by user Laner84 on 12/29/22 in this thread: Just got iPhone 14 — can’t text android p… - Apple Community

I'm not a MacBook user and I'm not familiar with those BUT... If it has service through Verizon like my iPads do, then the solution is probably the same one as the phone and calling them or following the steps in the D.I.Y. instructions would likely fix it too.

Hopefully you'll get it all working ;-)
